CANADA DAY 2011

HAPPY CANADA DAY 2011

One of the new backyard toys is something we gave the girls for Christmas last year.

Basically it's a big blow up Toy Story themed ball that kids actually go inside.

Since each octogon has its own air valve, it took FOREVER to get this thing blown up. I didn't realize until afterwards that at least one of the pockets has a hole in it so the thing doesn't stand or roll on its own very well!

Here the girls are still having fun playing inside it.

This week brought the end to something that has been a very significant part of our lives

(and our pay cheque).

This past Friday was the last day either our girls will be attending the Early Learning Centre for daycare. Hannah who will be in BIG school (ie. Junior Kindergarten next year) this coming week is starting full time (for the summer) at our 'Before & After School' provider.

She is very excited that she gets to spend her days this summer with Caitlyn!

Also, this week an event occured at our house that has been months in the making:

The Blessing of The Wedlake Home by Reverened Andrea L. Ahlers

Rev'd Andrea came complete with bulletins to hand out to our guests. We walked through the whole house and Andrea had a seperate blessing for each room.

Here we are blesing the Front Door. Hannah was quick to point out afterwards that we were leaving the door opened and letting 'all the flies in'!!

Rev'd Andrea and her husband Andrew blessing our Living Room.

Blessing of the Back Door.

Blessing of our Yard. The girls received lanterns as a gift from Rev'd Andrea.

Grampa arrives in the Festive mood for the Canada Day festivities.

Caitlyns' Hello Kitty face.

Our two Hello Kittens

'
Fun at the splash pad.

Fun inside a blow-up Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Our municipal tax dollars at work!

Our girls had lots of fun!!

"Hannah wait for me!"

"Oops, excuse me!"

"Daddy, this line is looooong!" "Wait until DisneyWorld buddy!"

Fun with friends while waiting for the fireworks.

Luckily I wore a different shirt!

"YEAH!" Daddy & Mommy were very happy that there were no tears or complaints that the fireworks were too loud!

Forgot to comment on the blessing. What a wonderful idea!
