Lunch With a Very Special Teacher

Our oldest daughter has been going to daycare since she was two years old and since she first started, she has actually had the same 'main' teacher. Last year at about the same time of year her teacher invited the class and their parents over for an afternoon of lunch and playing. Last weekend was the 2nd Annual of the same event and it was very special since this year is the last year our 'Big Girl' will be going to daycare. In only two short weeks (moving will make it seem longer though) she starts 'Big School'- Grade One.
Here she is playing ball with her friends.
Here are all the kids that were there- Each brought at least one parent!

This train might look familiar to some of you out west- this is teachers back yard!

Our 'Little Girl' has at least one more year of daycare remaining.

23AUG2010 New House Update

Well, we're now on the home stretch- quite literally!
Eleven (that's right 11) days left until we get to move into our new dream home.
Our builder actually gave us a key a couple of weeks ago so that we could still visit and keep tabs on the construction schedule from the inside.
Seeing the progression each and every day has been a real treat for all of us.

A Little Girl Turns 3 & House Update

Two of the girls cousins (and their Aunt) came to visit to help celebrate our
Little Girls Third Birthday.

Three more cousins came for the party as well.
Our Big Girl had fun 'looking after' the baby cousin!

Let the Birthday Party Begin...
It was a warm day so luckily we had already planned on filling our pool and starting the party there.

Our Little Girl said she wanted to give herself "a Mohawk"!
Cousins having lots of fun in the water!

After the fun, we made the kids work for more fun.
We asked them to help water Gramma's plants and flowers.

Then, they all decorated cupcakes...

Next, it was present opening time...
"A Really Big Pink Bear!"
Then, it was back outside for some more fun and games!

I guess our Little Girl got tired (and a bit grumpy!) having so much fun!
...but, she cheered up in time for her birthday cake!

House Update

As you can see, the exterior siding, eaves and brickwork is now complete. There might be a few minor exterior things to finalize, but generally only interior finishes remain.
